About the Program

More than a crown

The Miss Nebo organization is a volunteer-run program in the Miss America Opportunity. Each year we crown seven titleholders: Miss Nebo, Miss Panoramaland and Miss Salt Creek, and Miss Nebo’s Teen, Miss Panoramaland’s Teen, Miss Salt Creek’s Teen and Miss Heart of Utah’s Teen, building confident, service-minded leaders through scholarship competition.

Scholarship

Contestants compete for scholarship dollars toward higher education.

Service

Each contestant champions a Community Service Initiative all year long.

Style

Confidence, poise, and presence on stage and in every interview.

Success

Interview skills, public speaking, and a network of mentors for life.

Sisterhood

Friendships that last long after the crown is passed on.

The fifth point of the crown

Sisterhood

Service, scholarship, style and success are the four points of the Miss America crown. At Miss Nebo we hold one more just as high: sisterhood. Our Miss and Teen titleholders prepare together, serve together and cheer each other on, from our local stage all the way to Miss Utah. Former titleholders come back as mentors, coaches and board members, and every new titleholder joins a circle of women who have worn the crown before her.

Seven titles, one sisterhood.
